Easy Prawns/Shrimp Fried rice Recipe

  Easy Prawns/Shrimp Fried rice Recipe
Happy  Independence Day to all my viewers...

Today i'm going to treat you with Prawns Fried rice. You can make biriyani instead of fried rice..You guys might think about like..Why this blog is always giving fried rice recipes..ha ha ha ..Answer is simple..Since i have to use orange and green colours for making this flag image i thought of fried rice with veggies instead of masala biriyani.

Here i'm not giving you the preparation method of fried rice.Since you all know that, and for beginners you can check my Chinese fried rice and dry Chilli fish recipe.

Here i used Carrot for orange colour and frozen green peas for green as well.Instead you can use fresh green beans or green capsicum.

But, you can follow this Shrimp/Prawns recipe.

Ingredients list
1.Prawns - 1 cup
2.Tomato - 1
3.Onion - 1 Big
4.Fish Masala - 1 1/2  Tsp(Any fish masala available)
5.Chilli powder - 1/2 Tsp
6.Turmeric powder -1/4 Tsp
7.Salt - to taste
8.Ginger- Garlic Paste - 1 Tsp
9.Oil - 2 Tb sp

Method

1.Clean Prawns well.Use fresh shrimps/prawns instead of frozen cooked ones.Fresh prawns gives better taste if you spend some time to clean it up.
2.Heat a heavy bottom pan,Add some oil, when the oil becomes hot add ginger - garlic paste.Saute it well and cook until the raw smell goes.
3.Add thin sliced onion, with little salt and cooks it to becomes translucent.(Salt helps onions to cook fast)
4.Make a puree/paste of tomato in a blender/mixxie. Just add this paste to cooked onion.(Remember, wait until the onion cooks properly and then add tomato paste).Cook until the raw smell of tomato goes and the gravy becomes thick. Here i used tomato pieces..You can add what ever way you like.
5.Add all masalas in the list  to the gravy and cook for a while(until raw smell goes).
6.Finally add cleaned prawns to the gravy with needed salt and 1/2 cup water.Cover with a lid and cook for 10-15 minutes in a medium flame.
7.After 15 minutes, check whether the shrimp is cooked or not by having a little bit or try to cut 1 shrimp with a spoon or knife. If  it cuts easily, the shrimp/prawns is cooked and ready.
8.Add some coriander leaves or mint leaves for added flavor and aroma.
9.Serve hot with fried rice and raita.
