Mushroom Masala
Mushroom masala is a  vegetarian dry delight which suits best with roti,chappathi and rice.Mushroom is an excelllent source of  vitamin D and is very tasty.So many mushroom varieties are available in the shops.Select edible mushrooms, clean it and put it in turmeric water for 30 minutes.Since mushrooom may contain some impurities if we take it from direct soil....

     We know usually mushrooms are forming in soil after heavy thunderstorms.In my schooldays mummy plucked all those thunder mushrooms,clean it well and make it as a delicious masala or thoran with coconut.Here i'm showing the recipe for Mushroom masala.....



 
                                                      Mushroom Masala
Ingredients
1.Mushroom - 1 bowl
2.Onion - 1 big
3.Green Chilli - 1
4.Ginger - small piece
5.Turmeric powder - 1 Tsp
6.Chilli powder - 1 Tbsp
7.Pepper powder - 1/2 Tsp
8.Salt  - to taste

For Seasoning
9.Mustard - 1/2 tsp
10.Oil - 2 Tb sp


Method

1.Clean and chop mushroom into small pieces.Try to chop mushroom in small size.
2.Chop onion,ginger and green chilli into small pieces.
3.Heat a pan or kadai and add 2 tb sp oil,add mustard ,when it gets splutters add all chopped onion,ginger and chilli..Saute it for a while.
4.Add chopped mushroom pieces to the above mix.
5.Add all  curry powders in the ingredients list and mix it well.If you like you can add coconut pieces.But its an optional.Cover the pan with a lid and do not add any water to the mix.
6.Mix the whole masala and mushroom in between after 5 minutes.Water will oozing from the mushroom and it makes the dish as thick.
7.Cook it for 10 more minutes and make it dry.
8.Remove from pan,transfer to a serving bowl and serve warm with Rice,Roti or Chappathi.Here im serving with Rice as lunch delight.
