                                                Gobi Manchurian - home style
Hello foodies...

Gobi Manchurian's are really tasty vegetarian semi gravy dish normally available in all South Indian Restaurants. Gobi/Cauliflowers are rich in Vitamin C and the head, white portion is used for making curries.Head portion can be divided into small small parts. It should be cleaned thoroughly in salt water with lit turmeric before use. This thick gravy can be used for chapathies, parathas or any bread items.

Ingredients needed
1.Cauliflower - 1 no.
2.Onion - 1 big
3.Tomato - 1
4.Green chillies- 2
5.Chopped Ginger - 1/2 Tsp
6.Chopped Garlic - 1/2 Tsp
7.Green bell pepper/Capscicum - 1
8.Chilli powder - 1 Tsp
9.Turmeric powder - 1/2 Tsp
10.Tomato sauce/ketchup - 1-2 Tb sp
11.Maida/All purpose flour - 1.5 cup
12.Oil - for  deep frying

Method
1.Cut and divide the cauliflower into small portions and keep it in salt n turmeric water for 30 minutes.
2.Drain the  water completely.Mix 1.5 cups of flour with lit water and make a paste.(Don't add too much water.)Add 1/2 Tsp Chilli powder n salt to the batter.Mix the cauliflower in the flour paste and coat it nicely.
3.Deep fry the batter coated cauliflower till it becomes light brown.Keep the fried cauliflower in tissue paper plate.

4.In another pan,add oil, when it gets warm, add chopped ginger - garlic, green chillies and saute nicely.

Chopped veggies
5.Add chopped onion with lit salt and stir.Cook until the onion becomes translucent. Then add chopped tomato and finally green pepper.Tomatoes and green pepper must cook until the raw smell goes.(by that time the colour of pepper changes and the skin of tomatoes separates.)
6.Reduce the flame and Add Chilli powder, turmeric powder and stir nicely.Add tomato sauce/ketch up and make a good gravy out of it.
7.Turn the flame to medium level and add some water if you need more gravy. When the gravy starts boiling, add the fried cauliflowers to the gravy and combine it till the gravy coats with cauliflower.
8.Keep the flame for one more boil and switch it off.
9.Serve hot with any bread/chapathies/parathas/porotta or veg fried rice.

Tips
1.For non vegetarians, add 1 egg to the flour batter and mix.It helps to fry cauliflower easily and can avoid the smell of cauliflower.
2.I didnt add any colour to the gravy.so it does not have the restaurant look.If you want restaurant style recipe add lit red/orange colour and some heavy cream if you need.
3.But this home style is good for our health.

Try this delicious recipe for your loved ones and enjoy cooking.
