Very simple and tasty coconut chutneys with 2 Nadan items like Pacha manga and Jathika in addition to a taste maker.Don't worry Taste maker is our dry prawns.Its easy to make in few minutes.
Ingredients
1.Pacha Manga Chammanthi
- Pacha manga - 1
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Shallots - 2 nos
- Green chillies - 1
- Ginger - 1 small piece
- Curry leaves - a few
- Dry Prawns cleaned - 2 Tb sp
- Salt - to taste
2.Jathika Chammanthi
- Fresh Jathika(Nutmeg) - 3
- Grated Coconut - 1 cup
- Shallots - 2 nos
- Chilli powder - 1/4 Tsp
- Ginger - 1 small piece
- Curry leaves - a few
- Dry Prawns cleaned - 2 Tb sp
- Salt - to taste
Method
- Pacha manga and Jathika should clean thouroghly and peel its skin.Cut it into small pieces.
- Mix all ingredients in the list in a mixxie and grind it coarsely first and then grind once more to get a smooth mix.
- Taste varies depends on the ingredients.
- Here dry prawns gives an extra flavor.
- Use green chillies for pacha manga chutney and for Jathika use chilli powder.
- Its best side dish for rice along with pappad and butter milk.
