Tomato Rasam recipe # Instant Rasam recipe in 5 minutes




Rasam is South Indian soup dish helps in digestion.It can be prepared with or without Dal.Here im telling about the instant version of Rasam using rasam powder.


Ingredients needed

1.Tomato - 1
2.Small shallots - 3
3.Ginger - 1 small piece
4.Garlic - 1 small clove
5.Black pepper - 3-4
6.Rasam masala powder - 1 Tsp
7.Salt - as needed
8.Water - 1 cup
9.Oil - 1 Tb sp
10.Cilantro - 1 sprig
11.Curry leaves - 1 sprig
13.Dried red chillies - 1

Method


  • In a heavy bottom pan add the seasonings with chopped shallots and curry leaves.when it turns brown add Tomato,garlic, ginger paste and stir until it cooks.
  • Add 1 Tsp masala powder in low flame and cook until raw smell goes.Add 1 cup water and cilantro sprigs and  boil it for 5 minutes.
  • Serve with warm rice.
Note

This is the most easiest way of cooking Rasam,instead you can use all powders with kayam and fenugreek.But i feel this rasam more easy.
